Can you get a brain abscess from gum disease?
Brain abscesses are typically caused by the spread of bacteria or other microorganisms from another body part, such as the sinuses or ears, to the brain. Gum disease (periodontal disease) is not typically a cause of brain abscesses. However, severe gum disease can lead to other health problems, such as cardiovascular disease and stroke, which may increase the risk of developing a brain abscess.Gum Disease - Related Articles
