Mono and Mucus: Understanding Symptoms & When to See a Doctor
It is uncommon to have mucus with mono, also known as infectious mononucleosis. Mono is a common viral infection caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Symptoms of mono may include fever, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, and a rash. Mucus production is not a typical symptom of mono. However, some people may experience a runny nose or congestion, which can produce mucus. If you have mono and are experiencing mucus production, it is important to see a doctor to rule out other possible causes.Gum Disease - Related Articles
