Peridex Side Effects
Peridex is the brand name for the drug chlorhexidine gluconate. Distributed by 3M, Peridex is provided in a mouth rinse prescribed to treat symptoms of gingivitis, including redness, swelling and bleeding of gums. Peridex kills bacteria associated with gum disease.-

The most common Peridex side effects include altered taste, increased plaque and tartar and mild irritation.
Additional Side Effect

Another common effect is the staining of teeth, fillings, dentures and other oral appliances. The effect may be worse on rough surfaces on dentures and fillings.
