Recipe for Making an At-Home Denture Cleanser
Commercial denture cleansers can be costly, and many of them have mysterious ingredients. Using a homemade denture cleanser erases all of your concerns since you control the products that go into it and the price. As a bonus, you can get rid of the unsightly stains from nicotine, food, soda, tea and coffee and sanitize your dentures. The ingredients for a safe homemade denture cleanser suitable for everyday use can be found in your kitchen pantry.Things You'll Need
- Cup or glass bowl
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Vinegar
- Denture brush or soft toothbrush
- Denture-safe toothpaste
Instructions
Put the teaspoon of baking soda into a clean glass or bowl.
Place the dentures carefully into the glass or bowl.
Add enough vinegar to fully cover the dentures. Do this slowly to avoid the liquid sloshing and making a mess.
Place the cup in a safe place, and let it sit overnight.
Remove the dentures, and rinse them under a stream of warm water for two minutes.
Brush the dentures as you normally do with a denture brush or a soft toothbrush. Do this in a circular motion once you apply the toothpaste to the brush. Brush the outside of the dentures and the inside area that sits against your gums.
