American Cleft Palate Association (ACPA) Cleft Lip Classification System___
Group I - Unilateral Cleft Lip:
- Group IA: Complete Unilateral Cleft Lip (without involvement of the floor of the nose or alveolar ridge).
- Group IB: Incomplete Unilateral Cleft Lip (involves the floor of the nose but not alveolar ridge).
- Group IC: Unilateral Cleft Lip and Alveolus (unilateral cleft of the primary and secondary palate).
Group II - Bilateral Cleft Lip:
- Group IIA: Incomplete Bilateral Cleft Lip (without floor of nose involvement).
- Group IIB: Complete Bilateral Cleft Lip (floor of the nose between two clefts).
Group III - Median Cleft Lip:
- Group IIIA: Median Cleft Lip (primary palate)
- Group IIIB: Median Cleft Lip and Maxilla (median cleft lip with bony separation of the premaxilla).
