Removing Super Glue from Teeth: A Safe & Effective Guide
Superglue is made of cyanoacrylate resin, which can bond to organic and inorganic substances, including teeth and lips. When superglue bonds to teeth, the upper lip can become bonded to teeth as well. In order to remove glue from teeth, the glue resin needs to be softened with nontoxic high-molecular-weight oil. Margarine can be spread over the teeth to soften the glue, allowing the glue to be rubbed off with a moist gauze pad.Things You'll Need
- Napkin
- Margarine
- Gauze pad
- Water
Instructions
Dip a napkin into margarine. Spread the margarine liberally over the glued areas by rubbing the napkin over the teeth.
Allow the margarine to set on the teeth for about 20 minutes. This will soften the glue, causing it to flake off.
Moisten a gauze pad with water. Rub the gauze pad over the glued teeth to remove as much glass as possible.
Inspect the teeth for remaining glue. If some glue remains, repeat the entire process.
