Tampon Absorption Time: When to Consult a Doctor

It is not unusual to fill up a tampon in under an hour. Most women use 3-4 regular OR light absorbency tampons a day during their period, and 5-7 super absorbency tampons a day. If you are filling a tampon in under 30 minutes, it's a good idea to talk to your doctor. They may recommend increasing your tampon absorbency or changing it more frequently to avoid leaks.
