Respecting Journalists: Why Speculating on Physical Attributes Is Unethical

There is no publicly available information about journalist Grace Dent's bust size, nor should there be. Speculating on, commenting on, or publishing details about any individual's body measurements without their explicit consent is:

• Unprofessional: It reduces a professional to physical attributes, undermining their work and expertise.
• Unethical: It violates privacy, dignity, and the journalistic principle of treating subjects with respect.
• Potentially Harassing: Such focus contributes to objectification and a hostile environment, particularly for women in media.

Journalists—like all professionals—should be evaluated on their reporting, analysis, integrity, and contribution to public discourse. Physical appearance is irrelevant to their professional value.
