How to Remove 3M Transpore Adhesive
Used by medical professionals, 3M Transpore adhesive secures wound dressings or IVs. This spun rayon tape allows removal without any special tools or preparation. A severe case, such as tape that has been stagnant for several days, warrants moisturizer and medical adhesive remover. 3M Transpore adhesives are available in two forms: surgical and dressing tapes. The removal process is the same for both. Use care to protect skin or hair damage.Things You'll Need
- Medical grade adhesive remover
- Cloth
- Vegetable or mineral oil
Instructions
Standard Removal
Pull a small corner of the tape up, so it forms a tab for pulling. If the tab is difficult to create, then use a damp cloth around the edges of the tape.
Place a finger under where the tape was previously to stabilize the skin.
Remove the tape slowly and parallel to the skin, pulling carefully in the direction of hair growth. As new skin is exposed, stabilize the revealed skin with fingers.
With Moisturizer
Produce a tab at the upper middle portion of the tape to remove from hair.
Pull downwards slowly, with the grain of the hair.
Place moisturizer on the hair where the tab was removed.
Support the skin below the tape with fingers. Continue moisturizing the hair as it is exposed.
