Adjusting Your Fisher & Paykel HC234 CPAP: A Patient Guide
For patients suffering from sleep apnea, a CPAP machine can make the difference in providing a good night's sleep. During an episode of apnea, a patient's soft tissue airway will collapse on itself, causing the patient to stop breathing. With the addition of CPAP, or continuous positive airway pressure, the patient's airway is held open using air pressure. The amount of pressure needed will vary from patient to patient and will generally be determined through a sleep study. Should you need to adjust your own Fisher &Paykel HC 234 CPAP machine, these steps are available to assist you.
