Instructions for How to Program a Respironics BiPAP Auto
The Respironics BiPAP Auto Series is a line of breathing apparatuses used to aid the breathing of individuals with sleep apnea. The BiPAP Auto Series of devices responds to the breathing of its users. They increase or decrease the pressure of supplied air according to the user's breathing. And with the help of your BiPAP Auto's setup and programming menus, you can tailor your machine to fit your sleep therapy needs.
Instructions
Plug your Respironics BiPAP Auto into a power outlet. Flip up the BiPAP Auto 's cover, located at the top of the device, to reveal the device's display and controls.
Press the device's "+" button, located next to the display, to enter the Setup menu. The first sub-menu of the Setup menu will be the "Therapy" menu. Use the "+" button to increase the amount of therapy hours. Use the "-" button to lower them.
Press the right arrow button to move to the next menu -- you can use the arrow buttons to move between any of the Setup menus. The next menu is the "Sessions" menu. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to raise or lower the amount of session per seven- and 30-day period. Press the right arrow button to move on to the "90% Pressure" menu.
Use the "+" and "-" buttons to increase or decrease the average release of "cmH20," centimeters or water, for every weekly and monthly cycle.
Press the "Power" button to exit the Setup menu.
