Giardiasis:
Giardiasis is caused by a microscopic parasite called Giardia intestinalis. It is found in contaminated water or food. The parasite can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, bloating, and gas. It can also cause weight loss and malnutrition. Giardiasis is usually spread by drinking contaminated water or eating contaminated food. It can also be spread through contact with an infected person or animal.
