According to the National Sleep Foundation, sleepwalking is most common in children between the ages of 5 and 12, and it is also more common in boys than girls. The risk of sleepwalking decreases with age, and it is rare in adults over the age of 50. However, some adults may still experience sleepwalking, especially if they have a family history of the condition.
