ResMed CPAP Reset: Quick Guide to Default Settings
ResMed's sleep therapy systems are built for ease of use in order to encourage patient compliance. Data cards with two-way information download and patient monitoring enable easy transfer of information from patient to clinician. If an error message appears on the LCD screen, resetting the machine will return the machine to the default settings. You can use two methods to reset the machine, both of which are quick and easy to perform.
Instructions
Button Method
Press the "Start/Stop" button. The LCD screen should go blank as the machine turns off.
Wait two minutes to allow the pressure in the machine to fully decrease.
Press the "Start/Stop" button.
Check the LCD screen. The welcome message should be displayed, along with the current settings.
Unplug Method
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
Wait two minutes to allow the pressure in the machine to fully decrease.
Insert the plug back into an electrical outlet.
Press the "Start/Stop" button.
Check the LCD screen. The welcome message should be displayed along with the current settings.
