What allows the lungs to move freely in thorax due secretion of a serous fluid?
Pleura
The lungs are covered in a thin layer of tissue called the pleura. The pleura also lines the inside of the chest cavity. Between the two layers of pleura is a small amount of serous fluid. This fluid allows the lungs to move freely in the chest cavity without sticking to each other or the chest wall.
