What is the difference between somatoform and psychosomatic disorder?
Somatic symptom disorder and psychosomatic disorder were previously considered separate conditions. However, the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) has merged them into a single diagnosis known as "somatic symptom disorder."
