Why does my neck pulsate?
The pulsation in your neck is caused by the carotid artery, which is a major blood vessel that supplies oxygenated blood to your head and brain. The pulsation is a result of the heart's pumping action, which creates a pressure wave that travels through the arteries.
The carotid artery is located on either side of your neck, and you can feel the pulsation by placing your fingers over it. The pulsation should be regular and consistent, and it should not be painful.
If you notice any changes in the pulsation of your neck, such as a sudden increase or decrease in the rate, or if the pulsation becomes painful, it is important to see a doctor. These changes could be a sign of a medical condition, such as a heart problem or a blood clot in the artery.
