Treximet Instructions
Treximet targets migraine headaches by combining the drugs sumaptriptan and naproxen. According to Drugs.com, sumatriptan relieves headache pain by narrowing blood vessels around the brain, while naproxen is a nonsteroidal, anti-inflammatory drug, or NSAID, that reduces hormones in the body responsible for pain and inflammation. Treximet should be taken at the first sign of a migraine to relieve symptoms. Have your doctor evaluate your migraine symptoms to determine if Treximet is an appropriate treatment for you.
