How to Hide a Large Oxygen Tank
Oxygen tanks are a life-saving device for people with certain medical conditions. They may also be used for industrial purposes or aviation, but they're most publicly visible as a medical accessory. People who have or rely on such tanks may want to disguise or hide them for various reasons, whether due to self-consciousness or aesthetic concerns. It can be difficult to completely hide a large oxygen tank, but there are things you can do to minimize its visibility.
Instructions
Talk to your doctor about changing to a small oxygen tank. This will make it easier to hide, or at the very least, less visible.
Store the oxygen tank in a pouch, bag or satchel. Such containers are commercially available, or you could fashion your own out of an item you already have, like a backpack. There are also wheelchair accessories designed to hold such tanks, which may be of use if you use a wheelchair.
Cover the oxygen tank in cloth. You can hide it by draping decorative linen over top. Secure the cloth with string or size and cut it to fit the tank.
Put the tank in the closet, or some other out-of-sight place, if you don't need to have it with you at all times. Make sure, however, it's within ready reach should you need it suddenly.
