Pectus excavatum, also known as sunken chest, is a medical condition in which the sternum (breastbone) is abnormally concave. The most common symptom of pectus excavatum is a visible indentation or depression in the chest. Other symptoms may include:

- Palpitations (a feeling of a rapid or irregular heartbeat)
- Dizziness or fainting
- Anxiety or depression
In severe cases, pectus excavatum can lead to heart and lung problems.
