Kidney Function & Urination: What Happens Without Kidneys?
If you have no kidneys, you cannot urinate.
The kidneys are responsible for filtering waste products from the blood and producing urine. Without kidneys, there would be no urine to pass.
If you have kidney failure, you may need to undergo dialysis or a kidney transplant in order to stay alive. Dialysis is a process that filters waste products from the blood, and a kidney transplant is a surgical procedure that replaces a diseased kidney with a healthy one.
