Kidney Stones in Women: Symptoms, Pain & Treatment
Kidney stones are masses of hard material that are made out of chemicals found in the body, such as calcium, phosphate and a substance called oxalate. When women get these, they can become quite painful and in some cases, they need to be surgically removed.-
Back

There can be severe back pain. This can be felt on one side or both sides at the same time.
Stomach

Although the kidneys are located near the back, the stomach can still be affected. It can become upset and vomiting can occur.
Pain

Sharp pain spasms can develop. The pain seems to start in the lower back and then travel to the front of the body near the genital area.
Urination

Urination can become difficult. A burning sensation can be felt and there can be an urgency to urinate. The urine can also appear discolored.
Temperature

The body can also go through some temperature extremes. Fever can come, accompanied with chills.
