Pregnancy & Vaginal Discharge: What to Expect After Intercourse on Ovulation Day
Your discharge will not change right away after sex on ovulation day, even if you become pregnant. It typically takes several days for the fertilized egg to travel down the fallopian tube and implant in the uterine lining. During this time, your discharge will likely remain the same as it was before ovulation.
After implantation, however, your discharge may begin to change. Some women experience an increase in discharge, while others may notice a change in the color or consistency of their discharge. These changes are caused by the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy.
If you are pregnant, you may also experience other symptoms, such as breast tenderness, fatigue, and nausea. However, it is important to note that not all women experience these symptoms. Some women do not experience any symptoms until they are several weeks pregnant.
If you are concerned that you may be pregnant, you can take a home pregnancy test or see your doctor or midwife. Most home pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy as early as one week after conception.
