Is cramping or spotting wile in the first trimester normal?
Yes.
Many women experience light cramps (similar to menstrual cramps) during the first three months of pregnancy as the uterus grows and ligaments stretch to make room for your growing baby. Similarly, some women also experience very light bleeding, or spotting, during this time. Both are usually harmless. But they can be signs of a more rare but serious problem called an ectopic pregnancy. With an ectopic pregnancy, the fertilized egg begins to grow outside of the uterus. If you experience cramps and spotting, see your doctor right away to be sure it's nothing serious.
