What is the function of ovulation?
The function of ovulation is to release a mature egg from the ovary, so that it can be fertilized by sperm. Ovulation occurs when the egg ruptures the ovarian follicle and is released into the fallopian tube. The egg then travels down the tube, where it can be met by sperm and fertilized. Fertilization is the process by which a sperm cell fuses with an egg cell, resulting in the conception of a new individual.Infertility - Related Articles
