A History of Tuberculosis: Origins and Ancient Evidence
The earliest evidence of tuberculosis was found in the skeletons of cattle and humans dating back to the Neolithic era (8,000-4,000 BC). There is evidence of the disease in ancient Egyptian mummies from around 2400 BC.
