Why do you think the Americas had so many diseases transmitted to them when Europeans only gave Africa one disease (syphilis)?

It is actually the other way around. The Africans gave Europeans two diseases, African sleeping sickness and yellow fever. The Spanish brought smallpox, yellow fever, influenza, malaria, measles, whooping cough, and typhus to the natives.
