How is sars transmitted?
SARS is primarily transmitted through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can travel up to about 6 feet (2 meters) and spread the virus to people who are close by (in the same room for long periods) and have unprotected contact with the respiratory droplets.
Less commonly, the virus can be spread through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects. A person can become infected if they touch a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touch their face, particularly their eyes, nose, or mouth.
