Nausea is a common symptom for many conditions and medications. Unfortunately, nausea can be a symptom of severe medical conditions, but more often than not the conditions are not serious.-

Food Poisoning

Food poisoning occurs due to consuming contaminated food. Nausea is one of the key symptoms of this condition.
Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy treatment can cause nausea due to the chemicals being used during the treatment. Cancer and other similar conditions are usually treated with chemotherapy.
Stomach Flu

A stomach flu is a common infection that causes nausea. This infection is usually not dangerous and rarely lasts more than 48 hours.
Allergies

Allergies, such as an allergy to milk, can cause extreme nausea and vomiting. Some allergies can be prevented with medications and by avoiding the source of the allergy.
