Understanding Systolic and Diastolic Blood Pressure: What's the Difference?
Blood pressure is not defined by two different types, but rather by two values, known as systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Systolic blood pressure measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats (contracts).
Diastolic blood pressure measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart rests (between beats).
