Fioricet: Understanding Dosage, Forms & Usage
Fioricet is a combination of a few drugs used to relieve tension headaches created by contracted muscles. While some drugs are available in injectable forms, Fioricet is only available as a tablet or capsule.-
Identification
-
Fiorcet combines the pain-reliever acetaminophen, a muscle relaxer called butalbital and caffeine, which is used to improve blood flow. A Fiorcet capsule or tablet is taken by mouth only, usually every four hours, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information.
Function
-
When taking Fioricet by mouth, you should make sure your stomach is full. Otherwise, a stomachache is a common side effect if taken on an empty stomach.
Warning
