Transient Global Amnesia (TGA) and Headaches: What You Need to Know
Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a temporary loss of memory that usually resolves within 24 hours. In addition to memory loss, some people may experience other symptoms, such as:
* Headaches
* Confusion
* Disorientation
* Difficulty speaking or understanding speech
* Problems with coordination or balance
* Nausea or vomiting
Headaches are a relatively common symptom of TGA, occurring in about 15-25% of cases. The headaches are typically mild to moderate in severity, and they usually resolve within a few hours. In some cases, however, the headaches may be more severe and may require medication.
