Chronic Daily Headache (CDH): Definition, Symptoms & Types
The name for recurrent type of headache is 'Chronic Daily Headache' (CDH).
According to the International Headache Society (IHS) criteria, CDH is defined as a headache that occurs on ≥15 days per month for >3 months and is not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis. CDH can be further subtyped into chronic migraine, chronic tension-type headache (CTTH), hemicrania continua, new daily persistent headache (NDPH), and other chronic headaches.
