Concave vs. Convex Lenses for Nearsightedness: Understanding Vision Correction

Concave lenses would not be used for near sightedness, as they diverge light and would worsen the focusing ability of a nearsighted eye. Convex lenses, on the other hand, converge light and are thus used to correct nearsightedness (myopia).
