Common Eye Problems in Adults: Symptoms & Causes
The eyes can develop many different problems, especially as you age, that can be detrimental if left untreated. The symptoms that come along with eye problems are the result of other health conditions, or they are directly related to the eye. Some symptoms are transient, such as blurry vision caused by excessive drinking.-
Excessive Blinking

When the eyes blink excessively, this can be a symptom of a condition called blepharospasm.
Diabetes

Double vision and blurry near vision can be symptoms of a condition called diabetic retinopathy.
Cataracts

The eyes can become cloudy, vision can be blurry and colors can have less brightness to them if cataracts are present.
Eyelids

The eyelids can show symptoms as well. They can become red, inflamed and have a crusty discharge. These symptoms are common in a condition called blepharitis.
Double Vision

When the eyes point in different directions, have double vision or do not constrict when exposed to light, a condition called cranial nerve palsy might be present.
