Trombone Exercise

Hold a pencil, with your arm extended. Slowly bring the pencil towards your nose and have your eyes focus on the tip of the pencil until the pencil touches your nose. Reverse the process while moving the pencil back out to an arm extension position. Repeat this entire cycle several times.
Scanning Exercise

Hold a newspaper in front of you at the point where it is slightly blurry. Have your eyes jump around the page, quickly focusing a new word with each jump.
