Ciprodex and Hearing Loss: What to Do and When to See a Doctor

Seek medical attention. If you experience any hearing loss after using Ciprodex, it's important to see a doctor as soon as possible. The sooner you receive treatment, the more likely you are to regain your hearing.

Stop taking Ciprodex. If you are still taking Ciprodex, stop taking it immediately. Do not take any more doses until you have spoken to your doctor.

Avoid loud noises. Loud noises can further damage your hearing. For the time being, avoid listening to loud music, using power tools, or working in noisy environments.

Protect your ears. When you are outside, wear earplugs or earmuffs to protect your ears from the wind and other loud noises.

Be patient. Regaining hearing loss can take time. It may be several weeks or months before you notice any improvement.
