Soothe Your Stomach: Effective Relief Strategies & Tips
Everyone has a stomach ache from time to time. If one eats a diet that is full of junk food and fats, then they will have a stomach ache more often than someone who eats a healthy diet. Here are some steps to help you relax a sick stomach.

Take some medicine. Many over-the-counter medications are excellent at relaxing a sick stomach. Antacids, anti-diarrhea medication and pain killers all work well on most people.
Imagine a nice scene as you breathe deeply. This is a good technique to use when you do not have any stomach medications.
Go see a doctor if you have a continuous stomach ache that will not go away or if you are vomiting and are in extreme doubling pain.
Lie down for awhile. This sometimes helps eliminate some of the pain. Make sure you lie still in a comfortable position.
Drink a carbonated drink. Sometimes if you can burp or pass gas, your stomach relaxes and feels better.
Go to the bathroom. This may relieve your stomach pain.
Buy some herbs that help in digestion such as ginger, peppermint or chamomile tea. Take them as recommended. These herbal supplements may not work immediately. However, they are a healthy alternative to taking medications.
