The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the following influenza vaccine be used in 2010-2011:
* Trivalent vaccine containing:
* A/California/07/09 (H1N1)-like virus
* A/Perth/16/09 (H3N2)-like virus
* B/Brisbane/60/08-like virus
* Quadrivalent vaccine containing:
* A/California/07/09 (H1N1)-like virus
* A/Perth/16/09 (H3N2)-like virus
* B/Brisbane/60/08-like virus
* B/Yamagata/166/08-like virus
The WHO also recommends that the following influenza vaccines be used in specific populations:
* Inactivated vaccine containing:
* A/California/07/09 (H1N1)-like virus
* A/Perth/16/09 (H3N2)-like virus
* Live attenuated vaccine containing:
* A/California/07/09 (H1N1)-like virus
* A/Perth/16/09 (H3N2)-like virus
The WHO does not recommend the use of the following influenza vaccines:
* Monovalent vaccine containing:
* A/California/07/09 (H1N1)-like virus
* Adjuvanted vaccine containing:
* A/California/07/09 (H1N1)-like virus
* A/Perth/16/09 (H3N2)-like virus
