Less than 100........Optimal
100 - 129................Near optimal/ above optimal
130 - 159................Borderline high
160 - 189................High
190 and above........Very high
HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol)
HDL protects against heart disease.
60 and above.........Optimal. Helpful in reducing risk of heart disease.
50 - 59..................Better
Less than 40 (men); Less than 50 (women)........Poor.
Triglycerides
