Can a history of chlamydia cause your baby to have Down syndrome?

There is no link between a history of chlamydia and the risk of having a baby with Down syndrome. Down syndrome is primarily caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21 and is typically not related to sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia.
