Understanding Cardiac Output: What's a Normal Range?
Cardiac output is usually measured in liters per minute and refers to the amount of blood pumped out by the heart in a given time. Although cardiac function cannot be measured out of a possible 100 percent, it can be measured as a fraction of the maximum cardiac output. A normal cardiac function falls within 55% to 70% of the maximum.Cardiovascular Disease - Related Articles
