How to Use Elastoplast
Elastoplast is a bandage and wound dressing company established by German company Beiersdorf in 1896. Elastoplast has a variety of bandage styles and types, including scar reducers, burn plasters, sport braces and blister bandages. Elastoplast is available all over the world, including Europe and the United States. Using Elastoplast products is moderately easy.Things You'll Need
- Scar reducer
- SOS Burn Plaster
- Sport brace
- Blister bandage
Instructions
To apply a scar reducer, peel the paper from the back of the bandage to release the adhesive. Place the scar reducer on the afflicted area and change the pad every 24 hours. Continue wearing a scar reducer over the scar for approximately two to three weeks.
Cover your first- or second-degree burn with an SOS Burn Plaster. After cooling the burn for approximately 10 minutes or until the pain has subsided, dry the skin completely and apply a burn plaster. If you have a burn deeper or more severe than a first- or second-degree burn, see a doctor immediately.
To use an Elastoplast sport brace, pull the brace over the afflicted wrist, elbow or knee. You may wear the brace under your clothing or sports uniform, or to sleep if desired.
To apply a blister bandage, peel the backing away from the adhesive and place on top of clean skin to cushion existing blisters and prevent new ones.
