How to Cool Jalapeno Burns
If you like eating foods that have a lot of heat, then chances are you enjoy the spicy jalapeno pepper. Whether eaten on their own -- or paired with other foods to add some kick -- jalapeno peppers can leave behind a burn in your mouth and on your skin too.Things You'll Need
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- Rubbing alcohol
- Cotton balls
- Washcloth
Instructions
Mix together a cup of chilled whole milk with a teaspoon of white sugar. Stir thoroughly. Sip the mixture slowly to help reduce the heat in your mouth. Make more as needed, to cool down the heat.
Apply rubbing alcohol to a clean cotton ball and wipe the area of skin that is burning from the peppers. Rinse the area under some water for a few seconds.
Soak a washcloth in chilled whole milk for ten seconds then wring it lightly and apply the soaking cloth over the skin that is affected. Re-soak and apply as needed, to cool.
