Lower Back Pain Relief: Simple Strategies for Everyday Comfort
The lower back is a common source of pain for many people. Sitting for long periods of time, sleeping incorrectly and other factors contribute to lower back pain. But instead of living with the constant ache, there are ways to address your lower back problems, as simple changes in your day-to-day life can reduce pain.Things You'll Need
- Heating pad
- Small pillow
Instructions
Turn on a heating pad and place it on your lower back whenever you are feeling particularly achy.
Take a small pillow everywhere you go and put it behind your lower back whenever you sit for long periods of time. A cushion gives the back the extra support it needs and reduces pain that sitting can cause.
Sleep on your side with a pillow between your knees. This will give your back a slight curve and help relieve pressure.
Perform exercises that target your lower back, because when that area is strong it is less susceptible to injury and pain.
