Understanding Thigh Bone Sections: A Guide to Anatomical Planes
There are three possible longitudinal sections that can be made through the thigh bone (femur):
1. Frontal section (coronal plane): This section divides the thigh bone into an anterior part and a posterior part.
2. Sagittal section (median plane): This section divides the thigh bone into a medial part and a lateral part.
3. Oblique section: This section divides the thigh bone into an anteromedial part and a posterolateral part.
