Understanding Leg Muscles: Voluntary Control and Function
Leg muscles are voluntary muscles. Voluntary muscles, also called skeletal muscles, are muscles that we can control consciously. We use them to move our limbs, walk, talk, breathe, and perform other voluntary movements.
They are attached to our bones and are responsible for our body movements. Conversely, involuntary muscles, such as those in the heart and digestive system, work without our conscious control and are not under our direct control.
