IAi Blood Genotype: A Antigens & Anti-B Antibodies Explained
A person whose blood genotype is IAi will red blood cells with A antigens on their surface and anti-B antibodies in their plasma. This is because the A allele codes for the production of A antigens, while the i allele is recessive and does not code for the production of any antigens. The anti-B antibodies are produced in response to the presence of B antigens on foreign red blood cells.Blood Disorders - Related Articles
