When was Swine Flu discovered?Swine influenza was first discovered in the United States in February 2010 (referred to as H1N1 influenza). The virus was then found in other countries in North America and Europe, and then spread to other parts of the world later in 2010.
What got infected?
The main hosts of the Swine flu virus are pigs. The virus is passed from pigs to pigs through respiratory droplets, such as when an infected pig coughs or sneezes. Humans can become infected with Swine flu by coming into contact with infected pigs or by breathing in respiratory droplets from infected people.
