Identifying throat cancer right at the beginning can be difficult. Throat cancer is a condition that deteriorates the throat and larynx, and it can spread throughout the body if not found early enough.   Talk to your doctor immediately if you have lost the ability to speak, or if your speech is not coming out the way you want it too. This symptom could be a sign of possible throat cancer.

  Talk to your doctor if you notice enlarged lymph nodes on the outside of your neck. Also, if you have a hoarseness or change in the tone of your voice.

  Ask you doctor to look at your throat. Then request that your doctor do some tests, especially if you are finding it hard to swallow or if you find it hard to breath.

  Consult with your doctor if you find any blood or any other colored substance that looks unusual in your saliva. Your doctor can run additional tests on you to detect the cause.

  Talk to your doctor if you experience any coughing, nosebleeds, earaches or constant headaches. Your physician will most likely have to perform some blood tests on you at this point for further diagnosis.
